Recommended for lining over sand finish plaster, cement block, v-grooved paneling and other problem walls. Ideal for base to apply other wallcoverings.

WALL LINER is recommended as a base for new wallcoverings to be applied to problem walls. It covers cracks, rough spots, cement blocks and paneling. This product is not intended to bridge gaps with width or depth of 1/4 inch, or more.
Application Instructions
- Surfaces must be dry and structurally intact. Remove loose paint and old wallcoverings. If mildew is present, remove and treat to inhibit growth. Paneling should be washed to remove oils, waxes, polish, etc. Sand smooth protrusions. Score glossy painted surfaces and paneling with a coarse grit paper. Cement block should be sized with premixed vinyl adhesive. Size other surfaces with either premixed vinyl adhesive or latex primer.
- Use pencil to mark walls and back of WALL LINER. Temperature must be above 50° F during installation.
- Hang horizontally with the natural "curl" of the material towards the wall. Measure length and cut strips allowing 3 inches for trimming at both ends.
- Immerse WALL LINER in cool water for 15-30 seconds making sure all areas of the product are wet. IMMEDIATELY remove the WALL LINER and begin to position it on the wall. Change water in the trough and rinse the sponge frequently.
- Apply bottom strip horizontally first, overlapping onto baseboard. Smooth strips to wall with a smoothing brush. Remove all air pockets. Butt all seams (no overlapping). Set with a seam roller. Wipe off excess paste with sponge or damp cloth.
- Use scissors, single edge razor or knife to trim excess.
- Allow 48 hours to dry. Then seal with either premixed vinyl adhesive or latex primer. When dry, apply final wallcoverings according to manufacturers' instructions.
If WALL LINER is to be painted, apply 2 coats of high quality latex paint for best results.
WARNING: If there is any question of suitability, hang a test patch. This material cannot correct problems caused by poorly aligned cement blocks or pulled away paneling. These defects must be corrected first before using wall liner.
